Boo Bitchcraft

"It's possible he's afraid because of the witchcraft?"

This sentence flopped out of my mouth during a conversation last night with Nura.  She was talking about her mother, and I was still talking about Galvin.

"Oh crap! You said he was Catholic didn't you? Maybe that's an issue with him that he needs to get over. I still don't understand why he hasn't got a hold of you."  She got up to let her dog out. "But Darling, in his line of work, I'm sure he's got people in his circle who are. Friends and coworkers I mean."

We both gave a giggle at that.

"But Darling, I have to get into the bath and get supper on.  Earnan will be home from work anytime now." she said a big grin on her face.

"Oh crap. I forgot. Happy Valentines.  Tell your husband I said hi."

"Oh I will. I have the batteries all charged up.  Too much info?" she laughed seeing my blush.

"Um...huh.. Night. Have fun."

Maybe he's just shy

I hear this alot when it comes to Galvin.  To be honest, part of me wants to believe it, and part of me never could believe it.
I may never know at this rate.

He comes across as a total bad boy most of the time, but I would be lying to you if I said I didn't feel there's more there to him.  It's like he walked off of a page in a romance novel, there's just something about him that makes me think of a lost little boy.
I'm dying to know what it is too.

In season 4 of Sex and the City (episode 51 Defining Moments) Carrie finds Big to be jealous of her new boyfriend, Charlotte has public sex and Samantha dates a woman.  The episode's question of the week has Carrie wondering "What really defines a relationship?"

What does define a relationship these days?  I mean, I've had relationships that were purely physical, some that were completely done by internet/phone,  ones that were sensual but never became physical, and some that have been ... well complicated to say the lest.

I'm sitting here now, struggling at how much I should say about him and how much to keep to myself. If it is a case of him being just shy, he should know by now what I think of him.

I'll keep you posted

Random Friday -Nov 12th 2010

Earlier this week, I got a message from International Model Guy, asking if I wanted to get together this weekend.  I said sure and told him to call me.   It's noon on a Friday and I'm still waiting.

Are we in a holding pattern?   I thought the modern man had gotten rid of the games of dating and that the so called "three day rule"  no longer exists.   Seems I was wrong.

The thing is, I'm not getting any usual red flags with him.  Am I crazy or is it just that I'm so used to it that red flags don't register any more?

Maybe a little bit of both.

Here's the big thing,  as much as IMG is on my mind, someone else is on my mind more so and for other reasons.
Galvin.  He's lodged himself into the creases of my mind this week. He's gotten himself into a situation and as much as I want to help him out of it, it's beyond my influence.  But yet he's all I am able to think about.

Is it wrong that I would rather just have a two hour conversation with Galvin then a hot date with International Model Guy, even more so when there seems to be an all clear white flag situation?
